Wedding Idea Number Three

This is an art project that I did for a wedding in September.

This idea can be used for an outside wedding.
You can use one on each side of the signing table, altar, aisles. etc.

What You Need:
Bamboo teekee torch- Can be found at your local hardware store...canadian tire, home depot, etc

Ribbon- I would suggest using ribbon with wiring in it, that way the bow can stay up securely(In the picture the ribbon you see, is without wire in it) It Can be found at your local dollar store, or craft store

Flower arrangements- Real or artificial flowers. Pick two different types of flowers of your choice. They can be found at your local florist or craft store

Tie Straps- These will tightly hold your flowers in place. (They can be found in numerous colors. You need green ones so they blend in with the stems) These can be found at your local department store

Garden Sheers- You will need garden sheers to cut off the access stems that you won't need. (If you use real flowers, regular scissors will work fine. Artificial flowers will be too tough to cut with regular scissors)

DIRECTIONS:
1.Take your flowers and arrange them into a bouquet the way you want.

2.Take one tie strap and tighten it around the stems of the bouquet. Tie it 3inches below where the stems starts (by doing this step, it will keep your bouquet in place)

3.Grab your bamboo teekee torch, and get someone to hold it sturdy for you. Grab the bouquet and another tie strap and tightly put the tie strap around the bouquet and bamboo stick. (Use your own discretion on where you would like to place your bouquet on the torch)

4.Take your sheers/scissors and cut a bit of the stems off. (cut enough of the stems so that they don't stick out)

5.Take your ribbon and wrap it around the tie straps to hide them. I would suggest using a great amount of the ribbon because once you tie the bow, you want the ends to be fairly long for a pretty "flowy" effect.

NOTE:
To make sure the torch is secure in the ground, use a hammer, and lightly hammer it into the ground.(grass or dirt area is best)
If you are needing them on a paved area, I would suggest getting someone handy to make a stand to put them in or if you have axel stands, they work perfect!(that is what I used) Then cover the stand with fabric of your choice.(the same color of one of the flowers that are in your bouquet or plain white or black)

movie dayyyyyyy

Blue Valentine
and sucker punch

both very good movies and both very different

i suggest all eyes on either of them:)

That is all, Good day:)

swimming lessons.

If I could name one thing off the top of my head that I miss most about my childhood is Swimming Lessons!
I loved swimming lessons. I remember they were always on Wednesday's and I couldn't wait for Wednesday's to come. I love swimming. I am like a fish in the water. And it's hard to get me out of the water too.

What was your favorite hobby to do as a child?

I was the type of kid who got sick of a hobby and then moved on to the next. Here's the list:
Sewing lessons(lasted a year)
Karate (Lasted up to yellow belt)
piano(lasted i think 3 years)
singing lessons (lasted 1 year)
Swimming lessons( I took breaks within the years but I did finish)
Softball (that stuck)
There are probably more hobbies that I did....and didnt finish..

Why is this post so random? Because I found my one piece Nike navy blue swim suit that I wore to swimming lessons.... Brought back the good ol' memories...

That is all. Good day!

drained out...

SO. The last couple of days I've been feeling a Little drained out. Ive been feeling under the weather lately, and I just need to get out of this funk. Headaches, loss of appetite, always being tired. And it doesn't help when I've been working a lot so haven't been able to catch up on some z's and take a day to try and get better.
So tonight I did just that! So hopefully when I wake up tomorrow I will feel better just in time for another shift at work.

Taylor and Amanda leave tomorrow, had a nice half week with them. Every time I see Taylor she sounds more grown up, and gets more cute! I love it.
When Evan comes over she always calls him "my friend" super cute!

OH! P.S thanks phil for the chex mix:):):):)

That is all, goodnight!

Wedding Idea Number ONE

For you all just checking in, every Friday I am going to Post a wedding idea. A wedding Idea that I have of my own, or a wedding idea that I have seen that I think is really neat. So here we go:)

Here is a center piece. I made this for a wedding in the summer.

NOTE: THIS DOESN'T HAVE TO BE JUST FOR A WEDDING. YOU COULD MAKE THIS FOR YOUR DINNER TABLE AT HOME OR COFFEE TABLE:)
You can use any colors, but with this theme the colors were green and black.

What you need:
A jar that is a decent size. You can find one at your local dollar store
Rocks/Pebbles You can find these at your local dollar store in little bundles. You can also go for a little walk and collect some that you find outside. Make sure you wash them well, and make sure they aren't too big.
Black Ribbon This ribbon can be found at your local craft store or department store.
Green Ribbon This ribbon can be found at your local craft store or department store as well.:)
Flower You can use a real flower or go to a craft store and buy an artificial flower.
Water
Glue Gun Find one at your local department store or craft store.

Directions:
1. Wash the jar and dry it well.
2. Measure your jar with the black ribbon and give it 2 cm of extra ribbon then cut it. Do the same thing with the green ribbon.
3. Use your hot glue gun and glue the black ribbon to the jar. put the glue only on the jar where the black ribbon starts. Now start rapping the ribbon tightly around the jar until it meets up with the other end of the ribbon. Take your glue gun and glue the other end to the jar.
4. Do the exact same thing with the green ribbon, except put it over the black ribbon.
5. Start adding your rocks into the jar
6. Pour water into your jar. Put enough water into it to touch the stem if you decide to use a real flower. If you are using an artificial flower, use enough water to cover the rocks,
7. Put the flower in. I would suggest a bigger flower that way it sits nicely on top of the jar.

And that is it! Hope you enjoy

I was thinking that every friday or maybe another day of the week, I am going to post a wedding idea that I think is really neat. It could be a craft, a theme, dress ideas, eco friendly ideas, anything! If i give an idea of a craft for a centre piece or something, I will give directions on how to make them:)

I have just been reading a lot of wedding blogs, and they have some really cool wedding ideas, and I have some of my own as well:) So why not share with all you bloggers!

So Stay Tuned:)

That is all, Good Night

lesson learned.

girls night lastnight. lots and lots of fun::) contained Tamara, Jessica, Lindsay, Diandra, Jodi and Brie:)

BUT

Jessica, Lindsay, and I realized the bar just isn't our "cup of tea"

We all arrived to the bar at 11pm.

We danced got some drinks.

At 12:12am Jessica, Lindsay, and Tamara start to get tired and decide to sit at a table. We all realise that we are pathetic and maybe the bar just isnt for us. so we sit at the table and realize we are pathetic and make some jokes about our patheticness:
1) "well I guess its that time for us to go to the the coffee shop and have our cup of coffee"
2) "We are brutal when we start to leave when all the people start coming in."
3) "My feet hurt"

AND to top it off...there were OLD MEN everywhere! like EVERYWHERE. just creeping on the young girls dancing on the dance floor. its gross. and its actually very disturbing.

So at 12:55am we called a cab.

ordered pizza, watched keeping up with the kardashians and went to bed.

Lastnight was a goood night:)

one of the highlights of my night. Diandra grabbing two different shoes and both were for the same foot. Oh and She still wore them:) HA!

And Lindsay fell outside getting pizza (wish i could have seen it)

"JOY ahh...TO...ughhfghds THE ggdhjagsd WORLD! ugh yup voice is gone cause i can usually do soprano to that song"

that is all, good day:)

p.s beastly with my mom tonight:)

as much as i try...

to some people, it is just not good enough.

For people just tuning in, I am looking for a second job because I am not in school anymore and because I need to save up for my wedding course that is in June.

For people who don't know, I have applied for probably over 30 jobs in Thunder Bay, and have gotten probably 5 interviews and ZERO job offers.

I guess when people don't see me every single day, or don't exactly know a whole lot about the job searching may think I am being "lazy" and or not "trying"

but I AM TRYING

I am trying so hard, and I actually think I am doing very well with taking in all the stress and rejection that I have been getting since Ive been job searching.
